Official bat
Slo-Pitch National (SPN)
All legal bats used in Slo Pitch National will have either the existing USSSA compliance mark or the new USSSA compliance mark as pictured below located on the bat. Local leagues have the ability to set their own bat policies.
National softball association (NsA)
As of Jan 1, 2012, NSA Canada adopted the new 1.20 bpf testing as part of our acceptable standards for 2012 season and beyond.
NSA Canada will no longer be "grandfathering" the old 2004 ASA standard. The "grandparenting" of these bats ended as of Dec 31, 2016 per previous bat policy releases.

Gender
The gender rules comply with the individual league decision in composition. Softball Calgary interpretation varies in so much as if a league specifies a gender, Softball Calgary only defers to the policy as follow:
“Team composition will apply the minimum gender construct to whichever gender is least represented in the team. All other genders and non-binary persons will comprise the remainder.”
